Mini Album (Brag Book) Using 1Sheet of 12x12 Beautifully Penned DSP and card stock

Hi Crafters, hope you are all well.

Today I have made a mini album or as I know it a brag book or it can also be called a meandering mini album using 1 sheet of 12x12 Designer Series Paper and some card stock.

For this I used the free Beautifully Penned Designer Paper, some Basic White card stock and some Basic Black card stock.

The 12 x 12 sheet was scored at 3, 6 and 9 inches rotated and scored again at 3, 6 and 9 inches. It was then cut on the first score line down to the last score line rotated and cut up to the first score line, rotated again and cut down to the last score line so that you end up with a W or M shape.

It was then folded up and down at each score line until it looked like a little book, you can google 12x12 meandering mini albums for a tutorial on how to make one.

Once it looked like a book I glued each section to make a pocket top opening and side opening, each pocket had a half circle cut into it for a thumb hole using a retired 1 inch circle punch so that card stock could be slid into each pocket and easily retrieved. I cut some Basic White card stock to put in each pocket measuring 2.5inches by 2.5 inches. Some Basic White card stock measuring 3 1/8 by 3 1/4 inches giving it a border around 3 of the sides. These measurements I got from Helen Griffin on YouTube.  Before I stuck down the covers I used some retired ribbon wrapped around the book as a closure.

On the front and back pockets, I added some Basic Black card stock to make a pocket where some card stock could be added for journaling. I also added a few more pockets on various pages as can be seen in the photo above.

I used a stamp from the Hand-Penned Petals to stamp a little flourish on the corner of the card stock in each of the pockets. On the front I used a die from the Penned Flowers which I cut out in Basic Black card stock, stamped the corners of the cover and stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and as usual added some bling to finish it off.

I enjoyed making this little book and hope you like it and will have a go at making one too.

That's it for now until next time, Happy Stampin xx
