Positive Thoughts

 Hi Crafters,

Hope you have had a good week so far!

Well today I thought I would post a card I made as a swap for a virtual retreat I recently attended, hosted by the wonderful Michelle Last.

For my swap I used the beautiful stamp set Positive Thoughts and the Nature's Thoughts dies, this is one of my favourite sets. The idea was from a card that Chic n Scratch (Angie Juda) did a while back, I loved her idea so decided to make as an A6 card which we use in the UK and Europe.

I used Soft Sea Foam for the base of the card which was embossed with the Scripty 3D embossing folder. I used Whisper White so that it can stand on its own which was layered with more Soft Sea Foam and a piece of Whisper White which was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

For the leaves I stamped them in Granny Apple Green stamping off to get a lighter shade for the second set of leaves. I used some velum card stock for the leaves also, I stamped the flower in Rocco Rose and the butterfly in Balmy Blue with some Wink of Stella to give it some sparkle, they were all then die cut using the Natures Thoughts dies.

I used some of the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey which was then cut out using the Stitched Rectangle dies.

I hope you like it, keep staying safe until next time xx

Simple Card made from card scraps

Hi Crafters,

Hope everyone is doing ok with the ongoing situation, all I can say is keep staying safe.

Today I have done a very simple card using scraps of card stock.

I cut them at 3/4 of an inch and layered them up onto some paper that was cut an 1/8th of an inch smaller that your basic card front.

I then used the well said framelits and cut out miss you friend 3 times each layering them on top of each other to give the words a bit o height.

I then sprinkled some basic rhinestones around and voila there you have a simple card quick and easy.

You can do this with any card stock of DSP that you have left over from your creation, I hope you have a go, until next time,

Happy Stampin xx
